Oakpoint Land Solutions
Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 6, 2026
Oakpoint Land Solutions, LLC ("Oakpoint," "we," "us") buys vacant land directly from landowners. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
It covers our website, oakpointlandsolutions.com, and the ways you reach us: by phone, text, email, our website form, or a reply to one of our letters. We never sell your personal information.
What we collect, and where it comes from
Information you give us.
When you fill out our website form, call, text, or email us, you may share:
-
Your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address
-
Details about your land, such as its state, county or parish, acreage, parcel number, and the reference number on our letter
-
Anything else you choose to tell us, such as who else owns the land or questions about selling
When you call us, a team member or our call answering service takes your details and sets up your file.
Information from public records.
If you received a letter from us, we found your name and mailing address in public property records, mostly from county and parish assessors' offices. These records list who owns land and where tax notices are sent. We use them, along with basic property details such as acreage and location, to decide which land to make offers on and where to send our letters.
Information collected when you use our website.
Like most websites, ours automatically records basic information about visits: your device and browser type, your general location (city or region, based on your IP address), the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. Our website host, Wix, collects this for us using cookies (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send us, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or other financial account details through our website or by text. When it's time to close, the title company collects what it needs directly and securely.
How we use it
We use your information to:
-
Send letters with offers to buy land
-
Answer your questions and call you back
-
Research your property and prepare an offer
-
Work with you, any co-owners, and the title company to close a purchase
-
Keep records we're required to keep by law
-
Understand how people use our website, so we can make it clearer and easier to use
-
Protect our website and business against fraud and misuse
We don't use your information for any other purpose without telling you first.
Who we share it with
We never sell your personal information, and we never share it with other companies for their own marketing.
We share information only with people and companies who help us do our work, and only what they need:
-
The title company that handles your closing, and attorneys working on title or the closing
-
Another buyer, if we transfer our purchase agreement before closing. Sometimes we transfer our agreement to buy your land to another buyer, who then completes the purchase on the same terms. When that happens, we share the agreement and what's needed to close with that buyer and their title company. [ATTORNEY REVIEW: wording and state disclosure rules]
-
Our call answering service, which takes first calls and records your details for us.
-
Our website host, Wix, which runs our site, our form, and basic website analytics.
-
Google Analytics, who runs our basic website analytics.
-
Printing and mailing companies that send our letters.
-
Professional advisors, such as our accountant or attorney, when needed.
These companies may use your information only to provide their services to us.
We may also share information when the law requires it (for example, a court order), to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of selling or reorganizing our business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Our website uses cookies set by Wix, our website host, to keep the site working and secure. You can learn how Wix handles this information in Wix's privacy policy.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how our website is performing. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information on our behalf. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't track you across other websites. We use a standard implementation of Google Analytics and are not tracking advanced user-level information. You can learn more in Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.
Do Not Track. Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track visitors across other websites, our site doesn't change its behavior in response to this signal.
Your choices
Stop letters, calls, or texts.
If you'd rather not hear from us, call or text (985) 401-6990 or email offers@oakpointlandsolutions.com with your name and the mailing address on the letter. We'll remove you from our mailing list. Before each mailing, we also remove anyone who has asked us not to contact them, along with names on the do-not-mail lists available to us at that time. A letter already printed or in the mail may still arrive.
See, correct, or delete your information.
You can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within 30 days.
We may keep some information when the law requires it, such as records of a completed sale. We won't treat you differently for making any of these requests.
Calls and texts
When you call, text, or send us your phone number, we'll use it to talk with you about your land and a possible sale. Calls to our office may be answered by our call answering service, which records calls and tells you so at the start of the call. We only text people who have contacted us first or asked us to text them.
If you'd like us to stop calling or texting you, tell us, or reply STOP to any text, and we will. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including secure (encrypted) website connections and limiting access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries and records of completed sales unless you ask us in writing (an email counts) to delete them. When you do, we'll delete your information from the systems we control, except records the law requires us to keep. Copies held by others, such as the title company, are governed by their own policies.
Children
Our website and services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also note it on our homepage.
